Fixed Income/Convertible Bonds Operations Co-op with Drexel University: Fall/Winter B Round

Overview

Working on the Fixed Income Operations desk you will interact directly with the operations team and traders to help manage our portfolio of fixed income products including bonds, futures, ETFs and OTC derivatives. In addition to daily tasks, projects and one-off assignments that directly impact the trading and operations desks will be allocated to help maintain, update, and improve existing procedures.Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Confirm signatures and payments with counterparties
• Contact counterparties to update and maintain finance rates
• Confirm cash/repo trades with counterparties
• Reconcile trade breaks and fails
• Manage trade blottering and reporting through our clearing agents

What we’re looking for

• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Previous experience in the financial services industry or completion of finance/investment related coursework a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Access
• Strong communication skills; ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
• Detail oriented; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Must be a self-starter, a quick learner, and resourceful in solving problems
• Probability and Statistics background a plus
