Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Functional Business Analyst to lead complex, high-impact initiatives that drive transformation across UOB’s business and technology landscape. You will manage projects end-to-end — ensuring delivery on scope, budget, and quality — while fostering innovation, leveraging data and AI, and enabling long-term growth for the Bank.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategic objectives into product requirements and ensure alignment with business priorities.

• As SME (Subject Matter Expert) collaborate with Business Unit Specialists to elicit and review business requirements.  Maintain up-to-date knowledge related to domain and processes.

• Lead activities from identifying problem statement, analysing the “as-is” to solutioning the "to-be" business and operations processes based on proven frameworks.

• Analyse and define detailed functional and non-functional requirements based on business requirements including transition to delivery partners.

• Work with testing teams to translate business requirements into test scenarios, ensuring testing and delivery quality.

• Own and control overall project scope collaborating with all stakeholders including technology,  business, operations, compliance, group info security, and drive execution.

• Leverage data & AI on requirements, delivery, optimise outcomes, and inform decision-making.

• Facilitate workshops, prepare documentation, and provide reporting as required.

• Drive re-engineering of processes and introduction of new technologies to improve efficiency and client experience.

• Provide training on project and application enhancements

• Champion use of AI to deliver scalable, sustainable change at pace.

• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by creative problem-solving and adoption of new solutions, including automation and  AI.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, IT or related field.

• Minimum 15 years of experience in business analysis or related discipline in banking, investments, or financial services.

• Proficiency in project delivery methodologies (Agile, Product Framework, or equivalent).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.

• Excellent visualisation, presentation, communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

• Experience in business analysis or service design or product management

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, perform under pressure, and adapt to evolving requirements.

• Experience in automation and AI-driven initiatives.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience in Client Onboarding, Banking Operations or Digital Banking

• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.

• Exposure to driving innovation and AI adoption within financial services.
