Job Description

We are looking for an experienced PHP Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing development team and drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PHP and Vue.js, along with proven experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of PHP and front-end developers.

• Oversee end-to-end software development lifecycle — from architecture and design to deployment and maintenance.

• Collaborate closely with product, design, and QA teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

• Define coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to best engineering practices.

• Drive performance optimization, security, and scalability improvements across systems.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and introduce best practices to the team.

Required Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of overall software development experience with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role.

• Strong hands-on expertise in PHP (Laravel / Symfony / CodeIgniter) and Vue.js.

• Experience in designing scalable architectures and working with RESTful APIs.

• Strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and cloud environments.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Exposure to Microservices architecture or modern PHP frameworks.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS.
