Description

Responsibilities:
- Owning the quality of wireless power firmware, software and algorithms in embedded applications
- Hunting down bugs, clearly and concisely documenting issues, and tenaciously driving them to resolution
- Developing and executing intelligent automated and manual test cases
- Writing comprehensive test guidelines from engineering specifications and data sheets
- Working multi-functionally to drive quality and communicate results
- Using diagnostic software and hardware to isolate and debug complex issues
- Analyzing field data to inform future design

You will be a motivated individual who:
- Independently follows up on issues
- Is comfortable collaborating with developers to resolve low level issues
- Understands and discusses highly technical issues with developers
- Thoroughly analyzes how new features or designs impact the customer experience

Minimum Qualifications

Tertiary qualification(s) in the field of electrical engineering or computer science, computer systems
Strong knowledge of validation strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven skills in bug hunting and regression testing
Coding skills in Python, Bash, Swift, C++, AppleScript or other scripting languages

Preferred Qualifications

Track record of shipping great consumer facing products
Use of hardware debugging tools - Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers
Experience with embedded software architecture and languages such as C, Objective C, C++
Experience with USB-C, USB-PD and other USB power protocols
Experience developing and deploying test automation tools and frameworks
Experience writing device drivers, instrumentation drivers and robot control drivers for use in automated testing
