Financial Analyst, Structured Product

Arena Investors, LP (“Arena”) is a global investment management firm that seeks to generate attractive risk adjusted, consistent and uncorrelated returns by employing a fundamentals based, asset-oriented financing and investing strategy across the entire credit spectrum in areas where conventional sources of capital are scarce.  Arena specializes in off-the-run, stressed, distressed, illiquid and esoteric special situation transactions through originations and acquisitions of asset-oriented investments across a wide array of asset types (including but not limited to private direct corporate credit, commercial real estate bridge lending, and commercial and consumer assets).

Quaestor Advisors, LLC (“Quaestor”) is an affiliated Special Servicer, which provides mid and back-office services to Arena Investors and external clients.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

•Data Analysis - Analyze financial data, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow metrics, to assess financial performance and trends.

•Financial Modeling - Develop complex financial models to forecast future financial outcomes and stress test projected financials.

•Reporting - Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing findings and providing recommendations

•Portfolio Management - Quarterly review of financials and updating of internal borrower risk scoring.

•Ad Hoc portfolio management tasks

Requirements

•Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience (3-5 years) required. 

•Proficiency reading GAAP financial statements

•Strong analytical skills and quantitative skills to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions

•Extensive knowledge of MS Excel and other financial modeling tools and software.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings and recommendations.

•High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and analysis
