About the role

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. This role is critical in supporting financial planning and analysis activities, providing insights to senior management, and contributing to strategic financial decision-making. The Financial Analyst will report to the Financial Controller and work closely with the Treasurer, Accounting and Costing Department to ensure accurate financial reporting and optimal cash flow management.

 

The role main accountabilities will be the following:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and budgets for various departments.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial close processes.
  • Prepare variance analysis and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Assist in developing financial models to support investment decisions, cost analyses, and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial processes and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of reports to senior management, including the CFO and Treasurer.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as requested by senior management.

Requirements

  • BSc degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. A relevant postgraduate degree or certification (e.g., ACCA, CFA) is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of proven experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar finance role, preferably in a large corporation, manufacturing environment, or a big audit firm will be considered as an asset.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or financial software is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
  • Familiarity with audit processes and financial regulations is desirable.
