A Glimpse into Your New Role
As a Finance Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial operations and integrity of our business. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, including:
- Conducting bank reconciliations, including credit cards (NAB & AMEX)
- Managing the warehouse transfer process (Unleashed to Xero) and updating the Fixed Asset Register
- Processing supplier invoices in Xero and proposing supplier payments
- Following up on overdue invoices and processing staff reimbursements
- Managing finance-specific tickets related to payment extensions, account cancellations, and allocation of unidentified customer receipts
- Generating monthly reports, including aged debtors, annuity/revenue share, and referral partner reports
With a robust understanding of financial processes, you’ll ensure data accuracy and timely task completion. You’ll also collaborate with internal teams and report directly to the Head of Finance, supporting essential month-end activities and deadline-driven financial reporting.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- CPA or equivalent is beneficial but not required
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong understanding of GST (Australia) is preferred
- Experience in retail Telco finance is a plus
