About The Team
You’ll be joining the JD.com team, which values collaboration, ownership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Forecasting Lead annual budget exercise, quarterly rolling forecasts and long-term business plan for innovative retail portfolio. Track budget execution, conduct in-depth variance analysis between actual vs budget/forecast/prior year, identify root causes and propose actionable improvement plans.
- Commercial Performance & Profitability Analysis Own monthly management reporting, business review pack and core KPI monitoring (GMV, gross margin, store-level unit economics, inventory turnover, marketing ROI, occupancy cost, labour efficiency etc.). Conduct deep-dive analysis on channel, category, store and promotion profitability; uncover risks and growth opportunities for omnichannel retail operations.
- New Initiative & Investment Financial Evaluation Build financial models to assess feasibility of new retail projects: new store opening, pop-up shops, brand cooperation, marketing campaigns, new retail model trials. Deliver business case review, scenario analysis, break-even & payback assessment; support post-launch tracking of project return.
- Business Partnering & Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with retail leadership, store operations, merchandising and marketing teams to embed financial discipline into daily commercial decisions. Provide professional financial input on pricing strategy, promotional plan, inventory policy, capex and operating spend control. Translate complex finance data into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders.
- Risk Control & Process Optimization Support contract financial review, monitor operating cost and working capital efficiency; identify financial risks within retail operation and propose mitigation measures. Continuously improve reporting framework, analytical tools and finance SOPs to fit evolving innovative retail business needs.
- Stakeholder Alignment & Group Reporting Coordinate with group finance, accounting, tax and audit teams; ensure consistency between local business analysis and group reporting requirements. Support internal & external audit data requests as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related disciplines; professional qualification preferred (HKICPA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA Australia etc.)
- Minimum 3–6 years relevant experience in Finance Business Partner / FP&A / Commercial Finance, solid exposure in retail, omnichannel, e-commerce or consumer industry; experience in Hong Kong retail market is a strong advantage.
- Proven capability in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and commercial profitability analysis; familiar with retail core metrics and unit economics logic.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, financial modelling); experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite) or BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluent written & spoken English and Mandarin; Cantonese speaking is highly preferred.
- Commercially minded, strong business acumen, able to work independently in fast-paced, growing innovative retail environment.
- High attention to detail, strong logical thinking, proactive mindset and good cross-team influencing ability.
