Job description
At nTop, we are passionate about building next-generation engineering solutions. We enable the most innovative engineering companies in the world to transform how they develop, test, and manufacture better products faster. Our software has been used to engineer mission-critical satellites, deliver stronger and lighter medical implants for patients in need, and allow engineers to create complex, high-performance products never before possible.

We are looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Field Solutions Engineer, Enablement to join our Field Engineering team, with a dedicated focus on customer enablement and training. In this role, you will own the end-to-end learning experience for our customers, developing curriculum, delivering training virtually and onsite, and partnering closely with Product to ensure enablement content reflects the latest features, best practices, and messaging. You will serve as the bridge between our customers’ learning needs and nTop’s product capabilities, driving adoption and long-term success across our customer base.

This role is remote, and reports into the Manager, Customer Enablement & Field Strategy.

What You Will Do:

Customer Training & Enablement Delivery
  • Plan, develop, and deliver structured training programs for new and existing customers across virtual and onsite formats
  • Design and maintain role-based learning paths and curriculum tailored to customer personas (e.g., design engineers, simulation analysts, team leads)
  • Facilitate onboarding sessions for new accounts, including structured learning plans, milestone check-ins, and progress reviews
  • Adapt training content to address varying skill levels—from introductory users to advanced practitioners working with FEA, CFD, and design automation workflows
  • Respond to ad hoc training requests and identify opportunities to deepen product adoption during customer engagements

Enablement Content Development
  • Build and maintain a library of high-quality enablement assets including tutorials, how-to guides, workflow walkthroughs, video content, and self-service learning materials
  • Translate complex nTop capabilities into clear, accessible learning content appropriate for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Continuously update and refresh content in response to product releases, new features, and evolving best practices
  • Develop internal enablement materials to support onboarding of new Field Engineering team members

Product & Enablement Alignment
  • Partner with the Product team to stay current on the nTop roadmap, new feature releases, and updated messaging, ensuring all training materials reflect the most accurate and up-to-date information
  • Provide structured feedback loops from training engagements back to Product and Customer Success, surfacing common knowledge gaps, workflow friction points, and user needs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, and Marketing to align enablement strategy with go-to-market initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of external-facing content such as webinars, conference workshops, and product education campaigns

Required Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field, plus 3–5 years of industrial experience
  • Hands-on experience in aerospace and defense, with a background in design, analysis, or product development on real engineering programs
  • Proficiency in parametric modeling and 3D CAD (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, PTC Creo, or Onshape)
  • Working knowledge of FEA and/or CFD tools (at least one of: Abaqus, Ansys, Fluent/CFX, Nastran, Star-CCM+, LS-Dyna)
  • Experience with scripting in Python or MATLAB for engineering workflows
  • Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable presenting in front of large audiences and with senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience developing or delivering training, documentation, or educational content in a professional setting
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously
  • Willing to travel to customer sites and conferences (up to 50%)
  • Excellent spoken and written English

It’s A Plus If You Also Have These:

  • Experience with nTop software
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing technical role such as application engineering, field engineering, solutions engineering, or technical training
  • Experience developing and delivering formal training programs, workshops, or e-learning content
  • Exposure to design optimization, surrogate modeling, or AI/ML for inverse design applications
  • Security clearance
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to SaaS teams and GTM processes
  • Experience with content creation tools including video production, 3D modeling or animation software, and print/digital publishing
  • Conference presentations, technical workshops, or other industry-related public speaking experience

Compensation

  • Between 135,000-180,000 annually plus equity and benefits, depending on level and experience
