Job description

Our operations span sourcing, trading, and logistics, ensuring high-quality coffee reaches consumers efficiently and responsibly. 

The Field Officer will be responsible for supporting selected AMCOS and helping them grow, in exchange for their commitment to selling their coffee to Sucastainability. The goal is to build strong relationships with these AMCOS and assist them and their members in producing higher volumes of quality coffee, with the understanding that the coffee will be sold back to Sucastainability. The Field Officer plays a key role in bringing this objective to life within a defined number of AMCOS.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

 

Communication & Marketing:

  • Represent the Company values & Sustainability Project (Loyalty program) to assigned Agricultural marketing Cooperative Society.
  • Conduct the Assessment of the existing and New Amcos to be engaged under Loyalty program and support them in corrective action raised by the assessment.
  • Attend Annual General meeting of the assigned Amcos and keep the Company updated.

Certification Support:

  • Make sure all famers of the assigned Amcos are registered to the Certification program.
  • Train the field Team, Farmers & Buying Officers as per Loyalty program Calendar.
  • Supervise the Internal inspection and compile the data collected.
  • Supervise and verify Geo data taken by the field team in order to comply with EUDR.
  • Monitor Compliance of all buying centers eg EHS Compliance & Traceability.
  • Respond to the Auditors conducting external audits of Certification.
  • Support in corrective action as per external audit report.
  • Keep all records & files of all activities done at Amcos.
  • Follow up of coffee purchased from the assigned Amcos as per estimates.
  • Send weekly report of assigned Task and attend weekly call.

Company Culture:

  • Providing strong customer service in all interactions with AMCOS and farmers
  • Champion of Company culture and values in all work-related activities.

Others:

  • Support the Amcos in Documentation required for sales contracts, Bank loans, Prefinancing like Purchase or Input etc.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Agricultural or Agronomist or Agribusiness or ommunity development experience or Related field
  • At least 2 years of working experience
  • Proficiency in using digital tools e.g. Computer/ smartphones/tablets
  • Fluent in both English and Kiswahili
