Fall 2025 CAD Co-op

JOB SUMMARY 

The Co-op shall work in a team environment to dimension and annotate CAD drawings for use in the field from drawings developed by designers and engineers that are consistent with the AutoCAD/Revit standards set forth at McKenney’s, Inc. 

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

• Utilize McKenney’s drafting standards to create and edit shop drawings. 
• Utilize McKenney’s drafting standards to create and edit spool sheets for fabrication. 
• Dimension and annotate drawings developed by designers. 
• Draft redlines drawings from project engineers and designers. 
• Understand layering techniques, pen weights, etc. required to produce a clear & legible drawing. 
• Willingness to seek knowledge from others. 
• Enthusiastic about job responsibilities. 
• Responsible for producing all documents in a timely matter based on job requirements to meet the commitments to our customers, both internal and external 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

• Drafting certificate or 6 months experience in drafting 
• 6 months experience with AutoCAD 2018 or Revit 2018 or higher. 
• Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software 
• High school diploma or GED 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• Ability to draw simple sections with designer’s/engineer’s direction. 
• Provide design assistance to engineers and designers. 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT: 

• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office environment 
• No or very limited exposure to physical risk 
• No or very limited physical effort required
