Job Duties: Working in the mechanical and electrical shop, adjusting building controls, doing preventative maintenance for equipment as assigned, working with building occupants to resolve building issues, assisting other shops as needed and after hours on-call rotation. All other duties assigned within the scope of the classification.
Work hours: Monday- Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree or equivalent vocational education in construction, industrial engineering, HVAC, welding, or other building trade. Experience in building maintenance, a mechanical trade, or performing safety inspections, investigations or training may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis as determined appropriate by the agency.
Preferred Qualifications: Electrical license, grade 6 water license, EPA universal refrigerant certified
Other: This position requires driving. As such, the incumbent must be able to present a valid driver's license or another form of reliable transportation. Regular and Reliable attendance is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Electrical and plumbing knowledge good troubleshooting abilities, knowledge of automated building control system, and fire alarm systems, knowledge of backup power systems and transfer switches knowledge of VRF systems, geo thermal, and steam systems and multi zone AHU units.
