FLSA Status

Education/Experience

• BS in Engineering, Business or related discipline preferred
• Facility and Equipment Maintenance experience preferred
• Certification/Licensing in Construction Trades preferred

Essential Functions, Knowledge and Competencies

• Good interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Knowledge of Project Management
• Ability to effectively negotiate machine specifications and cost
• Ability to effectively coach and develop personnel
• Strong computer, analytical and organizational skills

Responsibility/Authority

• Researches, identifies and negotiates the purchase of new Production Equipment, Facility
• Modification and Maintenance contracts
• Manages projects related to equipment purchases and facility modifications
• Resolves scheduling conflicts related to maintenance with other departments
• Generates preventive maintenance calendars/procedures and schedules maintenance activities
• Monitors facility utility usage and takes action to reduce usage and cost
• Storage and control of equipment records and associated documents
• Supports the plant Safety program
• Coaches employees on job performance and takes the necessary action to improve substandard performance
• Manages pest control program
• Primary administrator for the Maintenance Connection Software
• Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Provides general supervision of the Equipment and Facility maintenance staff
