Description

    As a Facility and Inventory Specialist, you champion and level-up our facilities from a basic shop to a simple, effective, and systematic operation that supports the evolving needs of our R&D, engineering, and production teams. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment, where your contributions will have a direct impact on the future of decarbonization.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end operations of our combined office, lab, and manufacturing facility, ensuring safety, reliability, and operational excellence

  • Identify, anticipate, and resolve facility related issues and improvement opportunities, engaging with contractors as necessary

  • Plan and coordinate facility build-outs to support evolving R&D, engineering, and production demands as we scale

  • Receive incoming deliveries and routing to inventory locations, ensuring documentation and traceability are maintained with our systems

  • Retrieve and package inventory into traceable kits for production teams

  • Develop the standard operating procedures for facility maintenance and inventory operations

  • Manage the generation, delivery, and/or waste of production commodities (compressed gasses, DI water, industrial fluids)

  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in facilities management, warehouse operations, logistics, or similar roles in energy, industrial, aerospace, defense, or similar production environment

  • Familiarity with facility, supply chain, inventory, quality management processes and the systems used to support them (ERP, MES, QMS, CMMS, Jira, etc…)

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

  • Able to work on-site in Hawthorne, CA

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience in developing early-stage startups from limited procedures to systematic operations

  • Ability to safely operate forklifts (5-15k lb) with non-standard loads

  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, ADA, safety systems, and regulatory requirements
