Job description

Job Description:

  • Work together with other senior bridge engineers to carry out analysis and design of bridge elements (segmental box girder, post-tensioned beams, precast crosshead, piers, foundation, etc.)

  • Prepare sketches and work closely with BIM modeller in preparation of Revit drawings/models (including preparation of general arrangement, concrete outline and reinforcement details drawings)

  • Write technical reports

  • Prepare design calculations spreadsheet

  • Lead bridge inspection

Hard Skills:

  • Have design experience in bridges/rail

  • Able to use analysis software (eg. SOFiSTiK, MIDAS, RMBridge, StaadPRO, SAP2000, etc.)

  • Have some knowledge of design codes (EC2 or BS 5400/BS 5950/BS 8110)

  • Able to write and review technical report and prepare design spreadsheet

  • Able to guide junior engineers

  • Basic drafting skills in CAD or Revit is a bonus

Experience:

  • Holds a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering

  • 3-4 years of experience in structural engineering
