About the Role

As a CAAS Executive, you will be responsible for supporting accounting and bookkeeping operations for U.S. and U.K.-based clients. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting activities, preparing reconciliations, supporting month-end close processes, and delivering accurate financial reports while working closely with global teams.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to build expertise in international accounting, work with leading accounting platforms, and develop strong client service and technical accounting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records for assigned clients.
  • Process Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), payroll, bank, credit card, and general ledger transactions.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy.
  • Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Prepare balance sheet schedules, workpapers, and financial statements.
  • Support payroll accounting, sales tax, U.K. VAT workpapers, 1099 filings, and fixed asset tax documentation, where applicable.
  • Prepare management reports and communicate accounting adjustments to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring accounting processes and update SOPs as processes evolve.
  • Assist with accounting clean-up projects, software migrations, data conversions, and other special assignments.
  • Build positive client relationships, participate in client meetings when required, respond promptly to client and internal requests, and provide regular task updates.
  • Self-review work for accuracy, attach support for all accounting entries, maintain audit-ready documentation, address review comments promptly, and deliver quality work with minimal review notes.
  • Collaborate effectively with India, U.S., and U.K. teams, coordinate with reviewers and managers, support training and process initiatives, and ensure timely and high-quality client deliverables.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualification: One of the following:
  1. Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or U.S. Certified Management Accountant (CMA); or
  2. MBA/Master's degree in Accounting or Finance with 2+ years of experience in account reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close; or
  3. Bachelor's degree in Accounting with CA Inter and 2+ years of experience in U.S. or U.K. bookkeeping and accounting operations.
  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close processes
  • Mandatory Skills:
  1. Strong understanding of accrual accounting, general ledger accounting, revenue and expense recognition principles, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  2. Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Sage Intacct, Xero, and Bill.com.
  3. Exposure to Keeper and Certinia is preferred.
  4. Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
