Job description
  • The development agenda of western Nigerian (DAWN) commission is a development coordination and management institution, set up as a strategic and action-oriented response to the desire and determination of the south western states of Nigeria to create regional competitive advantage. The DAWN commission is focused on fostering inclusive and aggressive economic growth that leverages the socio-economic potential of the southwest region comprising Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Osun Ekiti and Ondo.
  • The DAWN commission is the strategic driver that has been set up to orchestrate and foster regional cooperation and integrity as a catalyst for achieving sustainable and accelerated development of Western Nigeria.
  • In order to successfully design, develop, deploy and execute the Development Agenda for western Nigeria, the commission is seeking to hire world class talent and professionals with the competence and capacity to make the goals and strategic objectives of the DAWN to become a reality through the following vacant roles:  Qualified and interested applicants should login to http://jobs.wfmcenter.com/dawn
  • Fully supporting regular activities such as annual plan, strategy planning, quarterly reviews and monthly reporting through collection and preparation of information in relevant format, organizing agendas, meeting times and locations.
  • Proactive forward planning of diaries to ensure travel plans and meetings are scheduled and updated and that any conflicts are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Dealing with confidential and sensitive information in relation to the operational running of the commission.
  • Prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner.
  • Minimum of 5 years previous experience in a similar role.
  • First degree in Law.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Extremely detailed oriented and strong planning and organizing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, show initiatives and to proactive.
  • High standard of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information
