Job description

About the role

Thatch is rewiring how health benefits work. We build software that gives employees real control over how they use their benefits.

We're looking for an Event Marketing Associate to own and grow our event program. You'll lead the planning and execution of conferences, customer events, webinars, hosted dinners, and field marketing initiatives that create meaningful connections and support company growth.

You'll join a small marketing team where you'll have real ownership from day one. You'll work closely with Sales, Product Marketing, Design, and Operations to deliver exceptional experiences and help shape how Thatch shows up in the market.

What you will do

  • Own the planning and execution of conferences, trade shows, customer events, webinars, and hosted experiences from planning through post-event follow-up.
  • Build repeatable processes that make our event program more effective and scalable.
  • Partner with Sales, Product Marketing, Design, and Operations to create thoughtful event experiences that strengthen our brand and support pipeline generation.
  • Manage vendors, venues, budgets, timelines, logistics, and on-site execution across multiple events.
  • Measure event performance and use those insights to improve future programs.

What we are looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or a related marketing role.
  • Strong project management skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A bias toward ownership and a willingness to solve problems and improve how work gets done.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the year to support events.

Tools

  • HubSpot or similar CRM and marketing automation platforms.
  • Event platforms such as Goldcast, Luma, Splash, or similar.
  • Project management tools such as Notion, Asana, or Linear.
  • Google Workspace and modern collaboration tools.

Experience that stands out

  • Experience working at a B2B SaaS or high-growth startup.
  • Experience planning conferences, trade shows, field marketing programs, or executive events.
  • Experience working in healthcare, health benefits, insurance, fintech, or another regulated industry.

How we work

  • We give people ownership and expect good judgment.
  • We move quickly without compromising quality.
  • We work across functions to solve hard problems.
  • We learn from customers and continuously improve.

What to expect

We aim to keep the process thoughtful, rigorous, and efficient. Most candidates complete it within three weeks. You can expect:

  • An initial conversation with a recruiter.
  • A conversation with the hiring manager.
  • A practical exercise related to the work you'll be doing.
  • Conversations with future teammates and cross-functional partners.
  • A final conversation with our Leadership team.
