Job description

Envusa Energy is licensed energy trader jointly owned by EDF Renewables and Anglo American. Envusa is, focused on delivering innovative and industry leading renewable energy solutions to private offtakers across Southern Africa and has a stated aim of developing a 3 to 5GW Renewable Energy generation portfolio by 2030 off the back of secured offtake. Construction of the first 520MW of wind and solar energy is at an advanced stage and will start delivering electricity to offtakers in end of 2025.

Envusa Energy is seeking a Project Controller to lead document and performance control for its flagship Solar PV project at the Sishen Mine, Northern Cape. This 20-month fixed-term hybrid role combines site and office-based responsibilities, supporting one of South Africa’s most significant renewable energy infrastructure rollouts.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage all project documentation and control systems to ensure accuracy, compliance, and accessibility
• Implement robust document control procedures across contracts, specifications, reports, and drawings
• Administer platforms like Aconex, managing document workflows, status tracking, and audit readiness
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth distribution and retrieval of documents
• Maintain full compliance with MHSA and quality standards, including Sishen-specific safety and technical protocols
• Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of all incoming and outgoing documents
• Analyze project controls to track progress, identify risks, and support recovery plans
• Generate reports on document control, compliance, and contractor performance
• Maintain document security and ensure controlled archiving of key project records
• Facilitate communication between site teams, contractors, the Owner’s Engineer, and corporate quality leads
• Implement feedback and quality practices from Envusa’s Quality community
• Support continuous improvement and contribute to overall project execution efficiency

What You’ll Need:

• Diploma in Document Management or a related field
• 3–5 years’ experience in document control and project performance systems
• Experience with large-scale solar PV projects (required)
• Strong knowledge of MHSA regulations and quality assurance standards
• Proven expertise in Aconex or similar document control platforms
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to create automated trackers and performance tools
• Familiarity with Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Office suite
• Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage stakeholder expectations
• Willingness to travel regularly to site
