About the Project
HumeLink East involves expanding the existing Bannaby 500 kV substation and designing and constructing 230 km of new 500 kV double circuit transmission line. This line will connect the Bannaby substation at the Wondalga interface point with HumeLink West, strengthening Australia’s energy network and supporting the transition to renewable energy.
About the Opportunity
As Environmental Manager, you will lead environmental planning, compliance, and sustainability initiatives across the HumeLink East project. You will manage environmental approvals, oversee monitoring programs, and provide strategic advice to ensure delivery aligns with regulatory requirements and ACCIONA’s sustainability objectives. This role reports to the Senior Environmental Manager and collaborates with engineering, construction, and stakeholder teams.
Key Accountabilities
Lead environmental compliance and approvals
Develop and implement environmental management plans
Monitor and report on environmental performance
Manage audits and regulatory reporting
Provide advice on sustainability and biodiversity
Engage with regulators and key stakeholders
Required Skills and Competencies
Degree in environmental science or related field
Proven experience in environmental management
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and approvals
Strong leadership and communication skills
