English EAL Teacher

We are looking for an English EAL Teacher for an international school based in Wuxi, Jiangsu province. This is a full-time position starting from the August 2026 academic year.

Job responsibilities

• Teach the subject of English as an additional language to secondary school students utilizing the IGCSE framework and ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
• Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
• Collaboratively teach alongside fellow educators, actively contributing to the development and enhancement of the school's curriculum
• Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
• Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers
• Develop supportive and safe learning environments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred
• CELTA/DELTA or Language degree AND formal EAL qualification or other relevant degree
• Excited about teaching EAL learners throughout the age-range of G9-12
• 2+ years of good quality post-qualification experience including IGCSE EAL
