Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Engineering Support Assistant located in Taipei design site.

Reporting to the Site director, the Engineering Support Assistant role responsible for engineering activities services, NPI build material purchasing, sample shipment for design product for PSU, BBU, CESS and power shelf.

What a typical day looks like:

  • NPI material purchase for RD center and NPI build.
  • Get quotation for critical material and release PO to suppliers.
  • Collect quotation for engineering related works and release PO to vendor.
  • Work with EPM or design managers to driving material delivery schedule
  • Review critical components with RD team and propose 2nd source.
  • Support engineering design center activities service such as sample shipment, customs clearance, customer visiting, regular meeting and document management.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above with experiences for material purchasing.
  • At least 8 years of working experiences and 5 years in electronical/mechanical materials, or supplier management, manufacturing or engineering background.
  • Familiar with material purchase process in Mouser, Digikey or other channels
  • Familiar with engineering BOM, cost analysis, ECO/MCO process
  • Familiar in power electronics components, mechanical sheet metal, plastic parts, connector, PCB etc.
  • Highly self- motivated to engage with R&D team to drive material and cost.
  • Good communication skill, able to discuss with R&D and customers in English, including oversee colleague from China, US Austin, Malaysia and Mexico.
  • Experienced in new supplier or components qualification is plus.
