We are seeking a passionate Engineering Manager to lead a talented engineering team in designing and delivering high-quality, scalable solutions. You will play a pivotal role in shaping product architecture, mentoring engineers, and driving technical excellence to create innovative products that redefine the industry.

Join our Accelerators team which is responsible for developing and maintaining backend engines which in turn are used to generate the insights. It serves as the backend for all the products in Dunnhumby.

It is an opportunity to work on complex data structures and have multiple algorithms running in the backend to generate the insights.

The stack is built with Languages like C, C++, Python, Scala, and GoLang but not limited to them and we use cloud infrastructure from Google and Microsoft to run our applications.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proficiency in Scala or Python or C++, and Shell Scripting.
    • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and development principles.
    • Experience working with databases and fluency in database management.
    • Hands-on experience in Agile development environments, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • High-level and low-level design (HLD, LLD).
    • Design principles and distributed computing.
    • Functional programming concepts.
    • Commitment to high-quality coding, testing, and development practices.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with C/C++
  • Experience with version control software (preferably Git).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Containers, and Kubernetes.
  • Exposure to Cloud environments, particularly GCP and Azure.

Domain Knowledge:

  • Experience in the Retail Solutions Industry is a plus.
