Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager formally manages 2-4 scrum teams (e.g. in terms of performance management) and provides the technical direction. The Engineering Manager is responsible for quality assurance e.g. code and feature quality. Work with organisational resources outside team to remove impediments and protect them from organizational bureaucracy​​​​​​​. The Engineering Manager coaches the team and the Platform Product Owner on the Agile process, such as writing useful user stories and managing the backlog.
