If you want to make your mark, then this is your opportunity – stepping into a brand new role. As a Engineering Manager you’ll be responsible for managing Engineering R&D and NPI projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As an Engineering Manager you will oversee the planning, control and utilisation of key engineering project activities relating to low-volume, high-value, multi-disciplined engineering projects, from development, prototype, manufacture and integration across large-scale, complex, high value projects.
  • The successful Engineering Manager will develop new product introduction programs in accordance with the organisation’s objectives and ensure that these are delivered on time and to budget.
  • Working with Product Management to develop realistic New Product Goals.
  • Manage the design process during the initial concept in R&D, through the development process, prototype build and eventual product launch.
  • Participate, contribute and review the design to technically influence the product to ensure it is fit for purpose and of the correct quality.
  • Work with the Physics team along with mechanical, electrical, electronic and software engineers to bring the products to production on time and in budget.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • Degree qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent Engineering discipline and preferred Chartered Engineer (CEng) status
  • Significant (10+ years) experience as a Principle Engineer or Engineering Manager delivering complex high-value, low-volume Engineering systems incorporating, Electronics, Electrical and Mechanical subsystems
  • Strong project and people management skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and negotiation skills
    Inspirational leadership qualities, entrepreneurial flair, commercial guidance, drive and energy.
