The Engineering Lab Technician will be required to conduct tests as required by the Engineering Department or Product Managers, to generate necessary test reports, and maintain lab test equipment and environment.


You will make an impact in this role by:

  • Conduct product performance tests and calibrations.
  • Help maintain and calibrate lab test equipment.
  • Develop specifications and testing methods.
  • Setup of test equipment.
  • Assist Lab Manager or Lab Supervisor to establish new test methods and equipment.
  • Generate and execute test documents and reports.
  • Keep the lab environment clean and in good working order.
  • Product calibration, repair, and troubleshooting of contamination sensors.
  • Meets all requirements for Level C and B technicians.
  • Assists and trains Level C and B technicians.
  • Required to meet and maintain expert level training according to laboratory training matrix.
  • Troubleshooting and determining root cause of failure.
  • Able to perform various test or calibration with minimal or no supervision according to laboratory training matrix.
  • Follow specifications and testing methods.
  • Help to execute routine laboratory tasks.
  • Plus other duties as assigned.

Requirements


Key skills and attributes include: 

  • Able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Must be able to understand blueprint information. Basic understanding of instrumentation operation.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Self-Starter and Motivator: Able to develop effective relationships with distributors, regional sales managers, and customers.


To be considered for the Engineering Lab Tech role, you must have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
