Primary Purpose
Performs technical work to sustain energy distribution operations, including routine analysis, system updates, and coordination of maintenance activities. Assists in planning and scheduling tasks that improve reliability and service continuity.
Duties and Responsibilities
Frequent, independent driving to meetings, company locations, field locations and/or active incidents sites while maintaining a focus on safety and compliance with traffic laws is essential to this position and cannot reasonably be accomplished via alternative transportation.
Performs technical work to sustain energy distribution operations, including routine analysis, system updates, and coordination of maintenance activities. Assists in planning and scheduling tasks that improve reliability and service continuity.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Resolves engineering complaints to ensure customer satisfaction and circuit reliability improvements.
- Conducts root cause analysis for system failures and shares findings with quality and reliability teams.
- Performs planning studies to model the electric distribution system and collaborates with team members to correct system record discrepancies.
- Performs load forecasting to support generation dispatch planning.
- Coordinates schedules for maintenance, restoration, metering, and operations planning activities.
- Obtains permits and easements in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Uses SCADA systems to monitor circuit status and report anomalies.
- Explains operational details to internal teams and customers in clear terms.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
