Join a Team That Never Stops Caring

Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center (OPVMC) is seeking a dedicated Emergency Veterinarian to join our collaborative, 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital. As a vital member of our emergency team, you'll manage a wide variety of urgent and complex cases in a fast-paced, fully equipped facility. This position is ideal for a veterinarian who thrives under pressure, values teamwork, and is passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

At OPVMC, you'll work alongside an experienced team of emergency clinicians, specialists, licensed veterinary technicians, and support staff who share a commitment to excellence in patient care and client service.

Why OPVMC?

For over 30 years, OPVMC has been a trusted leader in veterinary medicine, providing emergency, specialty, and referral services throughout Western New York. Our hospital offers advanced diagnostics, modern treatment capabilities, and a collaborative environment where veterinarians are empowered to practice high-quality medicine while continuing to grow professionally.

We believe exceptional patient care starts with exceptional teamwork. Our culture fosters mentorship, collaboration, continuing education, and mutual respect, ensuring every team member has the support needed to succeed.

We are seeking a full-time or part-time Emergency Veterinarian to join our fast-paced Emergency and Specialty team. In this role, you will provide high-quality emergency and critical care to small animal patients presenting with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. You will confidently triage, diagnose, and manage high-acuity cases while developing and implementing timely treatment plans with the support of our skilled Licensed Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants.

The ideal candidate is comfortable performing emergency procedures, stabilizing critically ill or injured patients, and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with our specialty services, including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, and Radiology, to ensure comprehensive and collaborative patient care.

Strong communication skills are essential, as you will regularly guide and support pet owners through stressful and emotionally challenging situations. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate and timely medical records using EzyVet and Smart Flow, participating in case discussions and continuing education opportunities, and contributing to hospital-wide training initiatives.

As a valued member of our team, you will play an important role in the continued growth and advancement of the emergency department through protocol development, process improvements, and a commitment to exceptional patient care.
