Description

As Manufacturing Engineer - R&D, you will be responsible for design, development, implementation, and optimisation of innovative processes and technologies to support Apple’s amazing product line-up.

Minimum Qualifications

B.Eng. M.Eng, B.Sc. M.Sc. in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Process / Industrial / Biomedical / Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent third-level qualification in a related discipline
Experience in development or optimisation of manufacturing processes within a manufacturing or R&D environment
Experience in leading technical development for manufacturing processes

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in 3D CAD for design of equipment/tooling/fixtures/assembly aids
Experience with additive manufacturing processes such as 3D printing
Experience with laser technology, i.e. marking, cutting
Experience in writing technical documentation, i.e. technical reports, work instructions, change impact assessments, user requirement specifications, equipment qualification protocols and reports, etc.
Knowledge of PFMEA or equivalent risk analysis methodologies
Experience using statistics to assess process capability
Knowledge of industrial engineering, line balancing, lean or Six Sigma
Experience working with third-party vendors
Experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to prioritise activities
Strong communication skills
