The Element Design Engineering II is responsible for performing engineering activities to deliver engineered solutions and to support Pall factories manufacturing filter elements. This role works closely with manufacturing teams, engineers and senior engineers to ensure engineering solutions meet customer, product and manufacturing requirements, cost and timelines.

This position is part of Pall’s Global Process Engineering group Elements & Housings team and will be located in Pune, India in an onsite capacity, working 5 days in the office.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Generate designs which meets customer specifications and offers safe and reliable/robust design which is easy to manufacture/operate and maintain.
  • Work as part of a cross functional team designing and detailing products ensuring safety and functionality are met in
    accordance with the customer requirements and current legislation.
  • Participate and lead troubleshooting and problem-solving activities with manufacturing, suppliers on product technical issues.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Good understanding of design for manual assembly and batch manufacturing and error proofing.
  • Good knowledge of major manufacturing processes including welding, machining, forming, molding / casting and sealing mechanisms​.
  • Ability to multi-task​
  • Very good communication in English and Hindi
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3-5 years of experience in in a relevant discipline.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in design of filtration products or equivalent.
