Electronics Operator - Afternoon shift

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Electronics Operator to join our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) team.

• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Hourly Rate: $27.97

What you'll do

• Operate SMT production equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform through-hole soldering to IPC standards
• Operate selective soldering and AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) equipment
• Carry out PCBA assembly, inspection and rework to a high standard
• Ensure accuracy by self-checking work and minimising errors
• Replenish components and materials, and complete job changeovers smoothly
• Accurately record task times against Production Orders
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area
• Support minor maintenance activities as required
• Assist with other tasks as directed by team leaders, supervisors and managers

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of electronic components and assembly processes
• Background in electronics manufacturing (highly regarded)
• Strong manual dexterity, with the ability to handle small, delicate components
• Good mechanical aptitude and confidence using tools and fixtures
• High attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own output
• Experience assembling or inspecting products under a microscope (preferred)
