Electrician

The Junior Electrician supports the maintenance team in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment within a high-speed paper cup manufacturing facility. This role ensures equipment reliability, safety compliance, and minimal downtime of production lines.

•    Assist in installation of new machines, panels, and electrical systems.
•    Support wiring of control panels, junction boxes, and machine interfaces.
•    Help with equipment upgrades, retrofits, and continuous improvement projects.
•    Other duties as assigned.

Technical Skills
•    Basic knowledge of:
o    Electrical systems (120V–480V)
o    Motors and motor controls
o    PLC basics (troubleshooting preferred)
o    Sensors, switches, and instrumentation
•    Ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams (preferred)

Experience
•    0–3 years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience (internships acceptable)
•    Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus (paper, packaging, printing, or FMCG
•    Experience with packaging or paper converting equipment
•    Basic PLC troubleshooting (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
•    Familiarity with VFDs and servo systems

 

Safe Quality Food Responsibilities:

•    Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
•    Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
•    Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
•    Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
•    Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.

 

Pay rate:  $44.09/hr
