Job description

FST Technical Services commissioning division partners with clients for all phases of the project, design phase, construction phase and post acceptance phase. The Commissioning Process is one of quality assurance for the client. We strive to assist the client in the build out of systems and/or buildings to meet their needs and to be energy efficient. The process ensures that systems are designed, installed, functionally tested, to the client requirements and the design intent, and capable of being operated and maintained well into the future.

About the Job:

  • Responsible for managing, scheduling and budgeting assigned projects.
  • Inform other project engineers and senior project engineers regarding staff scheduling.
  • Provide weekly task lists to engineering manager for inclusion in weekly work plan.
  • Executing and managing commissioning tasks within time budgeted.
  • Maintain relations with existing clients on assigned projects.
  • Support the engineering manager in the training and mentoring of team members on proper documentation development, field procedures and equipment usage.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Qualified Electrician or Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience in engineering or construction/maintenance related experience with a 2 year engineering technology degree
  • At least 3 years’ experience working with absorbers, chillers, boilers, air ventilation balancing systems and other optimization technique
  • EIT or CEM certification preferred
  • LEED AP required
  • Hands-on-experience of electrical systems and HVAC
  • Trade association participation a plus
  • Available for some travel within the region
