Job description

Join our fast-paced and passionate team as an Electrical Engineer 2. As we scale, you will be instrumental in building our foundation from the ground up. This is a dynamic, hands-on role for a self-starter who thrives in a fluid startup environment. Your key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Work independently and in a team while over communicating with the manager and the teammates.
  • Execute complex engineering tasks involving planning, preparation, data/information collection and analysis and decision-making in a process involving peer reviews and documentation of the results.

Requirements

  • This position requires access to export-controlled information. Employment is contingent upon the applicant being a U.S. person as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3).

Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, ideally within a startup or technology company
  • Experience with AC/ DC power distribution, cable design, and cable routing for automation systems
  • Experience in analog circuit design, ADC/DAC, DC-DC convertors and controllers a plus
  • PCB and PCA design and layout a plus

Skills:

  • Working design knowledge of electrical schematics including component selection to meet requirements and circuit architectures
  • Ability to use simulation tools such as SPICE for analyzing circuit performance a plus
  • Experience using Altium Designer a plus

Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for working with a group of engineers on electrical designs
    • Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems 
    • Documentation of design architecture and formal design synthesis
    • Electrical schematic capture and BOM maintenance
    • PCB layout and production of PCB cam files
    • Initial bring-up and testing of designs and diagnosis of any failures
    • Participate in failure root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
    • Develop prototypes to retire key development risks

Benefits

The expected annual salary range for this position is $85,000-$125,000.
