Electrical BIM Engineer

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Electrical BIM Engineer to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating comprehensive Building Information Models (BIM) for electrical systems on complex construction projects. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the overall project model, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

• Develop, model, and maintain detailed electrical BIM models using industry-standard software such as Revit, AutoCAD, or equivalent platforms
• Coordinate electrical systems with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams to ensure proper integration and clash-free designs
• Perform clash detection and resolution analysis, identifying and documenting conflicts between electrical systems and other building components
• Generate accurate technical drawings, schedules, and documentation from BIM models for construction and coordination purposes
• Ensure all electrical models comply with local building codes, standards, and project specifications
• Organize and manage BIM data, maintaining model integrity and implementing proper naming conventions and file management protocols
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to deliver coordinated construction documentation
• Analyze design requirements and translate them into accurate BIM representations
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and provide technical support to project teams
• Continuously update and refine models based on design changes and project requirements

• 3-5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, BIM coordination, or related field
• Advanced proficiency with BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit or equivalent modeling platforms
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, design principles, and MEP coordination workflows
• Solid understanding of building codes, electrical standards, and construction documentation requirements
• Demonstrated experience with clash detection tools and conflict resolution methodologies
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other technical drawing software
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage complex data and maintain detailed documentation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams on construction projects
• Familiarity with BIM protocols, standards, and best practices
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and architectural/engineering drawings
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in collaborative environments
• Experience with construction project management software is a plus
• Knowledge of Egyptian building codes and local construction standards is preferred
