Job Description Summary

Support the engineering activities related to assigned fluids system components in a collaborative, multifunctional team environment. Assigned components may include electromechanical devices used in aircraft engines, such as pumps, air valves, filters, heat exchangers, starters, thermocouples, and sensors. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to the analysis, design, and technical substantiation of components while gaining hands-on experience in an engineering environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support, with guidance from experienced engineers, the analysis, design, and technical evaluation of assigned components to ensure compliance with product and program requirements.
  • Assist in the generation, review, and analysis of engineering data required to define and support component designs.
  • Work within applicable GE Aerospace policies and procedures, engineering standards, specifications, and relevant industry standards.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation to substantiate assigned components, assemblies, and processes in accordance with established engineering practices.
  • Support the resolution of technical issues of limited scope and complexity through structured problem-solving methods.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to meet project and business objectives.
  • Demonstrate engineering judgment, learning agility, and attention to detail in assigned tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Mechatronic, or Electrical Engineering (Student in the final year of the degree program).
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles relevant to fluid systems and component design.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a fluent day-to-day conversation in English with only minor mistakes that do not affect understanding.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

  • Experience participating in school team projects, technical competitions, or other collaborative academic activities.
