Job description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite safety oversight for multiple small capital construction and renovation projects.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor compliance with OSHA, client, and site-specific requirements.
  • Review contractor safety plans, Job Hazard Analyses, permits, training records, and certifications.
  • Oversee lockout/tagout and other high-risk construction activities.
  • Support safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training activities.
  • Track safety deficiencies and corrective actions through resolution.
  • Lead or support incident and near-miss investigations.
  • Meet regularly with Construction Managers and contractors to review upcoming work and safety concerns.
  • Maintain required documentation and communicate risks to project stakeholders.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • 5-10 years of safety experience.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required at a minimum.
  • Laboratory, biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, cleanroom, or similar regulated-facility experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, lockout/tagout requirements, and construction safety practices.
  • Experience supporting multiple small capital projects in active or occupied facilities.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with Construction Managers, contractors, and client stakeholders.

Work Requirements:

  • 100% onsite, typically 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Primary coverage includes multiple Cambridge locations, with occasional support in Devens, Massachusetts, based on project needs.

The salary range for this full-time role is $91,000.00-$121,333.35 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
