EH&S Specialist (m/f)

Atotech, part of the Materials Solutions Division of MKS Instruments, is a global leader in advanced surface modification technologies, providing chemical, equipment, and process solutions to a wide range of industries.

For our site in Podnart, Slovenia, we are seeking an EH&S Specialist to support and ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, while maintaining a structured, safe, and sustainable working environment in line with local legislation and international standards.

This is a permanent position with a 6-month probation period.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations, including risk assessments, safety inspections, and employee training

• Support chemical safety management, including maintaining records of hazardous substances, monitoring Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and preparing chemical risk assessments

• Organize and oversee workplace and biomonitoring activities

• Ensure proper use and availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety-critical equipment

• Support compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, including participation in internal audits and follow-up on corrective actions

• Contribute to major accident prevention initiatives and emergency preparedness activities

• Monitor and support compliance with environmental legislation and implementation of regulatory changes

• Collaborate with internal teams and support global EHS initiatives

What We Expect

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, or a related field

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an EHS or similar role

• Fluent Slovenian and good command of English

• High level of reliability, accuracy, and responsibility

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Team-oriented and proactive approach
