Editorial Designer

Acme is searching for a talented and multifaceted Graphic Designer to support our editorial and social media teams. The ideal candidate combines a world-class design sensibility and skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a passion for working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with pop culture-crazy, fun-loving co-workers.
 
Responsibilities:

• Create high quality, compelling illustrations, charts, and artwork that will delight the Internet while keeping with Acme brand standards.
• Work hand-in-hand with the editorial team to conceptualize and execute graphics to accompany social media posts, articles, and playlists centered on TV and pop culture.
• Use graphic design and illustration to showcase Acme's most interesting content.

Qualifications:

• Mastery of Photoshop and Illustrator from the current Adobe Creative Suite
• Outstanding online portfolio demonstrating success in creating beautiful illustrations and graphic design
• Experience at a news or editorial organization
• An appreciation for typography and the written word
• A keen interest and understanding of pop culture and social media
• Excellent communication skills and ability to strike a balance between showing initiative and seeking appropriate guidance and input from others
