Weekly Hours: 24

Shift: 1st

Status: Part Time

Baptist Health Louisville is expanding, and our 30+ bed Observation Unit plays a key role in supporting the Emergency Department and telemetry units. We care for low‑acuity patients who need short‑term evaluation before determining whether admission is required. This fast‑paced unit offers strong nurse‑to‑patient ratios and is well‑suited for nurses with Telemetry, ED, ICU/CCU, or other acute‑care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive assessments and reassessments.

  • Develop individualized, evidence‑based plans of care.

  • Provide care aligned with hospital policies, professional standards, and our mission and values.

  • Evaluate patient responses and adjust care as needed.

  • Use strong critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and organizational skills in daily practice.

Minimum Requirements

  • Active Kentucky RN License

  • BCLS

  • ACLS

Preferred Background

  • Telemetry, ED, ICU/CCU, or acute‑care experience
