Job description

This is far from a typical digital operations contract role. At The Warehouse Group (TWG), we’re accelerating the next phase of our digital and customer experience roadmap.  We're investing in our people, tools and capabilities that will help us create more connected customer experiences across our websites, apps and stores.

Reporting into our Experience Optimisation & Discovery Lead, this eCommerce Operations Specialist (Discovery & Enablement Specialist) 12 month contract role is all about making it easier for customers to find, explore and purchase products across TWG's digital channels. 

You will support digital customer experience outcomes by managing search optimisation, product discoverability, platform operations, product availability and continuous improvement across web, app and supporting digital platforms. You’ll be confident working across multiple systems, quickly learning how they work and using them to deliver the best outcomes. Strong Excel capability is essential. 

Working closely with Merchandise, Marketing, Product, Customer Services, Fulfilment, eCommerce Category Management, Omni Experience teams and external platform partners, you'll identify pain points, solve operational challenges and uncover opportunities to improve the customer journey.  Using data, customer insights, automation and AI-enabled tools, you'll continuously improve search performance, product discoverability and platform efficiency, helping shape smarter ways of working and better experiences for our customers. 

About You 

  • Experience in eCommerce, digital operations, digital merchandising, digital marketing, platform operations or a related digital environment. 
  • Strong understanding of digital customer journeys, onsite search, navigation, product discovery and online trading principles. 
  • Understanding of SQL/Databases advantageous 
  • XML experience a bonus 
  • Experience analysing feedback/ data/ metrics  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Experience working cross-functionally with teams. 
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and build effective working relationships.
