Job summary:

The D365 Systems Analyst will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. The role is responsible for gathering business requirements, translating them into D365 Finance & Operations solutions, supporting system integrations, and ensuring the platform continues to meet evolving business needs.

Main duties and responsibilities:

1. Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with finance, operations, and IT teams to understand business processes and requirements
  • Document functional requirements, process flows, and business scenarios
  • Translate business needs into functional designs aligned with D365 best practices
  • Act as a trusted advisor on system capabilities and limitations


2. D365 Functional Ownership

  • Configure and support D365 F&O modules (e.g. Finance, Supply Chain, Projects)
  • Participate in system design workshops and solution reviews
  • Support system enhancements, change requests, and minor customizations
  • Ensure solutions align with governance, security, and compliance standards

3. Testing & Deployment

  • Create and execute UAT test scripts
  • Support business users during testing cycles
  • Validate solutions prior to deployment
  • Assist with release planning and post‑deployment support


4. Integration & Data

  • Support integrations between D365 and external systems
  • Assist with data migration, data validation, and master data governance
  • Support batch jobs, interfaces, and data management processes

5. Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Act as second‑ or third‑line support for D365‑related issues
  • Investigate and resolve functional defects
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation
  • Contribute to system documentation and knowledge sharing

Core competencies and requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration, information technology or computer science.
  • A Microsoft certification (e.g. D365 F&O Functional Consultant Associate/Expert) is an advantage
  • At least 5 years’ experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience within supply chain or manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience as a D365 Systems Analyst or Functional Consultant
  • Strong functional knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
  • Experience producing functional design documents and business process maps
  • Understanding of core finance and/or supply chain processes
  • Experience supporting integrations and data imports/exports
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working in an Agile or hybrid delivery environment
  • Knowledge of D365 Data Management Framework (DMF) and LCS
  • Exposure to Azure integrations (Logic Apps, Functions)
  • Microsoft D365 or Power Platform certifications
  • Experience in a regulated or enterprise environment
  • Basic understanding of X++ and system customizations
