Draftman Architecture

POSITION SUMMARY

• Responsible for preparing, modifying, and maintaining accurate Architectural technical drawings and documentation in support of project design, construction, and execution activities. The role involves producing detailed drawings based on design specifications, engineering inputs, and project requirements, ensuring accuracy, coordination, and compliance with applicable standards and contract documents.
• The Draftsman supports technical and project teams by creating Architectural shop drawings and as-built drawings, coordinated, throughout the project lifecycle, from construction to project handover.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES

• Prepare detailed Architectural drawings, layouts, sections, and schedules based on approved designs, specifications, and instructions from the technical manager.
• Develop and update Architectural shop drawings, Architectural as-built drawings, and coordination drawings as required by the project.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, project specifications, and authority requirements.
• Coordinate drawing information with multidisciplinary teams (architectural, structural, MEP, BIM, etc.) to avoid clashes and inconsistencies.
• Revise and update drawings based on review comments, RFIs, site conditions, and design changes.
• Maintain proper drawing version control and ensure timely issuance of approved drawings.
• Support the preparation of Architectural technical submissions and documentation packages.
• Assist in resolving technical discrepancies by reflecting approved solutions accurately in drawings.
• Prepare as-built documentation reflecting site-installed conditions.
• Follow project drafting standards, templates, naming conventions, and CAD/BIM protocols.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES

1.      Maintain organized drawing records in accordance with project and contract requirements.

2.      Support quality assurance procedures by ensuring drawing accuracy and completeness prior to submission.

Requirements

QULIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIREMENT

Ø  Educational Qualification/Degree/Major Diploma or Certificate in Drafting, Engineering Technology.

Ø  Job-Specific Skills/Abilities

•    Architectural, Structural Design & MEP co-ordination related skills.

•    Software skills: Auto-cad, Microsoft word, Excel

Ø  Specific/Relevant Working Experience

Ø  Minimum 8 years’ experience.
