Maintain a professional communication network inside and outside the Department, promotes public relations within the local community and with service providers. Maintains effective knowledge of all areas of Domestic Violence Supervision, Programs, Policies and Protocols. Participates in trainings and maintains all requirements for Domestic Violence Certification.</span><p>A bachelor's degree with at least 15 semester hours in social or behavioral science courses and experience in probation and parole work. An associate’s degree and two (2) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (to include Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience) may be substituted; or a high school diploma and four (4) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (to include Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience) may be substituted. </p><p style="margin: 0; color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0; text-align: justify"><strong style="font-weight: 700"><span style="color: inherit">NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:</span></strong><span style="color: inherit"> Certification by the Law Enforcement Training Council in accordance with 23-23-40 of the Code of Laws of South Carolina 1976. Must be currently Class-1 Law Enforcement certified. </span></p><strong style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><span style="color: inherit"><strong style="font-weight: 700; color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0; text-align: left">NOTE: Must be currently Class 1 (C -1) certified law enforcement officer from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy.</strong> </span></strong><p>A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, social work, psychology, sociology, education, counseling or other social behavior sciences or a bachelor’s degree, which includes at least 15 credit hours in the aforementioned disciplines and completion of two (2) years of experience in criminal justice, counseling, or related professional human service work. </p><p><strong>Please note: </strong>This is an entirely on-site, in-office position.</p><strong style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><strong>Please complete the state application to include current and previous work history and education.
