Job description

 

Reporting to the DVP Systems Engineering & Innovation, the Divisional Director of Supply Chain Transformation is responsible for leading the development, standardization, and performance improvement of supply chain capabilities across the division’s Business Units.

 

This role has accountability for driving cross‑business alignment, deploying standardized processes and tools, and capturing measurable cost, efficiency, and working capital improvements. The Director will partner closely with Business Unit leadership, divisional staff, and corporate supply chain teams to identify opportunities, define targets, and lead execution plans that deliver sustainable results.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Divisional Supply Chain Strategy

  • Develop and execute a divisional supply chain strategy aligned with growth, margin expansion, and working capital objectives
  • Assess Business Unit supply chain capabilities to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Define and implement the appropriate balance between standardization and local flexibility
  • Support the development and deployment of corporate-wide commodity sourcing strategies and ensure alignment across Business Units

AI Implementation

  • Develop and execute AI strategies to drive efficiency and process improvements across the supply chain
  • Standardize and scale proven AI use cases across Business Units
  • Ensure sustainable adoption and integration of AI into operating processes

Supplier Relationship Management & Optimization

  • Define and implement a standardized Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) framework
  • Establish supplier segmentation, governance models, performance metrics, and escalation processes
  • Lead supplier consolidation and rationalization initiatives to reduce cost and complexity
  • Drive supplier performance improvements across quality, delivery, and total cost
  • Strengthen supplier risk management and ensure supply continuity

Cross-Business Unit Leverage

  • Identify and execute opportunities to leverage scale across Business Units in sourcing and procurement
  • Coordinate cross-BU initiatives to improve purchasing effectiveness, logistics efficiency, and supplier performance
  • Develop business cases, define targets, and lead execution to ensure benefits are realized

Operational Performance & Metrics

  • Establish divisional supply chain metrics, dashboards, and performance targets
  • Improve end-to-end supply chain performance, including sourcing, inventory, lead times, and on-time delivery
  • Partner with Business Units to enhance forecast accuracy, planning discipline, and working capital performance

Leadership & Change Management

  • Partner with Business Unit leadership to understand capabilities, strengths, and constraints
  • Lead change management initiatives to ensure adoption of standardized processes and tools
  • Develop training materials, playbooks, and operating rhythms to build sustainable capability
  • Influence stakeholders across a matrixed, decentralized organization
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making

 

Requirements for Consideration:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related discipline (required)
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in supply chain or operations within an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience leading multi-site or divisional transformation initiatives
  • Strong background in supplier management, sourcing, and cost reduction
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable financial and operational results
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to influence senior leadership
  • Ability to manage cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to ~50%)
