Job description

Kelly Services is looking to hire several Site Logistics Operators/Material Handlers in Knoxville, TN for an industry leading chemical company. For this opportunity, you could be placed as a Chemical Finished Product Operator or a Polymers Packaging/Warehousing/Shipping Operator on a long-term, indefinite assignment. You will be working with chemicals and should be comfortable doing such - either with previous experience or the willingness to learn.

Distribution Tech IV-Wilson, NC

Kelly Services is currently recruiting for a full-time experienced Distribution Tech IV. This opportunity is for one of our top Life Science clients at its location in Wilson, NC. The assignment is a 5-month position and starts May 30, 2017 and pays $12.00-$12.50 per hour depending on experience.

Job Description:

Perform a variety of functions within the distribution center and/or raw material warehouse. Functions include order pulling, order checking, order packing, shipping, stocking, receiving, and inventory control. Understanding of and compliance with procedures, material handling practices, safe work habits and state and federal regulations. Other duties to include, but not limited to: Appropriate housekeeping practices, computer systems operation, material handling equipment operation, team-based work behaviors, cycle counting, and training of new and junior work associates.

Duties and Responsibilities:

In addition to successfully completing all requirements at Tech III level, responsible for:

  • Training lower-level technicians in an individual and group environment, demonstration of appropriate, professional, work-place behaviors, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Responsible for the successful daily planning and execution of operational work flow strategies, minimizing work-flow constraints, maintaining balanced staffing assignments, and coordination with supervisors and managers.
  • Required to work closely with the Distribution Coordinators to maintain proper inventory accountability, error reconciliation, and internal materials usage inventories.
  • Completion of all assigned Departmental, cGMP, and Regulatory SOP Training and Geneva Train the Trainer course.
  • Generally receives no instructions on all assignments with no supervision. Work is typically not reviewed upon completion.
  • May provide work direction to lower-level staff.
  • Applies advanced concepts and techniques while performing the most complex or sensitive tasks of the position.


 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have minimum 4+ years of fork-lift.
  • Must have minimum 4+ years of warehouse operations or manufacturing experience.
  • Pharmaceutical experience is preferred, but not required.
  • PC skills and inventory and shipping/receiving systems experience required; experience using SAP and Clippership preferred.
  • Must be team-oriented. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal (team building) skills. 
  • Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment. 

$12.00-$12.50 per hour
