Job description

Shape how trusted clinical content evolves for the next generation of AI-enabled clinical decision support.

At Wolters Kluwer Health, the UpToDate suite is grounded in rigorous, evidence-based clinical knowledge. As AI changes how clinicians search, interpret, and apply that knowledge, our content strategy must evolve so content remains authoritative, traceable, structured, and ready for responsible AI-powered experiences.

As Director, Product Management, Content Strategy & AI Readiness, you will be a senior individual contributor product leader responsible for defining product strategy related to content standards, structure, metadata, feedback loops, and AI readiness. You will partner across Product, Editorial, Clinical, Editorial Operations, Engineering, AI, and Analytics to translate content needs into clear priorities, platform requirements, and measurable outcomes. This role helps ensure clinician editors and contributors have workflows and capabilities that allow them to focus on high-value work: clinical insight, evidence synthesis, content creation, and expert curation.

What You'll Do

  • Define the content product strategy required to support responsible AI-enabled clinical decision support experiences.

  • Establish roadmap priorities for improving content readiness for search, retrieval, answer generation, source grounding, and user workflows.

  • Translate content standards, quality expectations, editorial needs, and AI-readiness requirements into scalable product priorities and platform requirements.

  • Lead the evolution of content rubrics and standards in partnership with clinical, editorial, product, and AI teams.

  • Build feedback loops that identify content gaps, quality issues, user pain points, and opportunities to improve content usefulness.

  • Define requirements for content structure, tagging, taxonomy, metadata, source traceability, and authoring workflows.

  • Partner with Editorial Operations, editorial platform, and engineering teams to identify workflow and tooling needs that make structured content creation, curation, review, and maintenance easier and more scalable.

  • Drive alignment across product, editorial, clinical, engineering, AI, commercial, and leadership stakeholders.

  • Communicate content strategy, priorities, tradeoffs, and impact clearly to senior and executive stakeholders.

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, content product, platform product, editorial strategy, knowledge management, taxonomy, healthcare content, or related areas.

  • Demonstrated ability to set product strategy, influence executive stakeholders, and lead complex cross-functional initiatives as an individual contributor.

  • Strong understanding of content quality, editorial workflows, structured content, metadata, taxonomy, or knowledge systems.

  • Ability to translate complex content and platform needs into product requirements, prioritization frameworks, and measurable outcomes.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to define metrics, feedback loops, and decision frameworks.

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills across product, editorial, clinical, technical, commercial, and executive audiences.

Preferred Background

  • Experience with healthcare, clinical, regulatory, or professional-information content.

  • Experience with AI-enabled search, question answering, retrieval, content platforms, editorial tooling, or knowledge graphs.

  • Familiarity with responsible AI, source grounding, content evaluation, or human-in-the-loop review workflows.

What Success Looks Like

  • Content strategy is clearly connected to product quality, clinician trust, customer value, and responsible AI.

  • Cross-functional teams are aligned on the content capabilities and workflow improvements needed to support AI-ready clinical knowledge.

  • Content standards and rubrics become clearer, more measurable, and easier to operationalize.

  • Content is increasingly structured and maintained in ways that improve AI-enabled product experiences.

  • Clinician editors and contributors have clearer workflows and enabling capabilities that help them focus on expert judgment, evidence synthesis, content quality, and clinical insight.
