We are seeking a Precision Medicine Strategy Lead (Director level) to join our Precision Medicine group, independently overseeing the development and execution of biomarker strategies across one or more therapeutic areas, with a preference for obesity/metabolism, as well as Neurodegenerative Disorders, Cardiovascular Disease, Muscle and Metabolism Disorders, and/or Rare Genetic Diseases. In this highly matrixed role, you will design, develop, communicate, and operationally implement clinical biomarker strategies, collaborating with discovery research, clinical operations, internal laboratories, and allied company partners to support key programs in early and late-stage drug development.

Discover your role:

  • Lead the strategic vision for clinical biomarkers in one or more therapeutic areas, enabling advances in target identification, indication selection, and patient stratification

  • Serve as a senior-level Precision Medicine representative on development teams, delivering biomarker strategies from concept to execution and results interpretation

  • Collaborate with Discovery Research and product development teams to incorporate biomarker strategies for molecules in discovery phases

  • Represent Regeneron with allied companies to develop and implement biomarker strategies for partnered alliances

  • Partner with clinical operations teams to implement biomarker and exploratory sample collection and analyses across studies

  • Design, oversee, and manage internal and external research collaborations in clinical technologies and translational research

  • Ensure complex clinical assays are fit-for-purpose, whether developed and validated internally or externally

  • Contribute to and ensure the quality of technical reports, study memos, clinical study reports, and scientific publications

This role requires:

  • Ph.D. and 10+ years of experience driving, managing, executing, and delivering results for complex, multi-functional projects

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with high emotional intelligence

  • Strong organizational and team collaboration skills

  • Strong track record in mentorship and development of direct reports

  • Deep experience in biomarker assay development and validation in clinical drug development, with a focus in therapeutic areas outside of Oncology
