Director of Global Supply Chain

Overview

Our client is seeking a Director of Global Supply Chain to lead end-to-end supply chain operations across a portfolio of apparel brands. This leadership role will oversee planning, production, logistics, and distribution while driving operational excellence, organizational effectiveness, and long-term supply chain strategy.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and people leadership. This individual will play a critical role in scaling global operations, improving efficiency, developing talent, and ensuring products are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Global Supply Chain Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end supply chain operations across demand planning, supply planning, production, logistics, and distribution.

  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives that improve supply chain effectiveness and support long-term business objectives.

  • Drive operational excellence through process improvement, scalability initiatives, and performance optimization.

  • Utilize data and analytics to inform decision-making and improve business outcomes.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead a large, cross-functional supply chain organization, including multiple people leaders and direct reports.

  • Build, develop, and mentor high-performing teams focused on service, efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Create a strong succession pipeline through coaching, development planning, and talent management.

  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive culture that supports employee engagement and organizational growth.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with Product, Sourcing, Quality, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure successful product delivery.

  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to leverage best practices and drive alignment across functions.

  • Support product quality initiatives, post-sales processes, and operational risk mitigation efforts.

  • Serve as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to broader business strategy and organizational objectives.

Operational Excellence

  • Establish and monitor performance metrics across supply chain functions.

  • Identify opportunities to improve service levels, cost efficiency, inventory management, and overall operational effectiveness.

  • Ensure processes, systems, and teams are positioned to support future business growth and increasing complexity.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within apparel, consumer products, or a related industry.

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex global supply chain operations from planning through execution.

  • Proven success leading large teams and developing people leaders within a cross-functional environment.

  • Strong analytical and business acumen with experience leveraging data to improve operational performance.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Preferred

  • MBA or advanced degree.

  • Experience supporting multi-brand or multi-category product organizations.

  • Background working within fast-growing, globally distributed consumer goods businesses.
