Are you a Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT) with strong clinical skills and a passion for leadership? Kern River Transitional Care Center is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead our therapy department in providing compassionate and effective care to our residents.

Position Summary:

The DOR will oversee all aspects of the rehabilitation department, including staffing, clinical delivery, compliance, and program development. This is an outstanding opportunity for a licensed therapist ready to lead a high-performing team.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support physical, occupational, and speech therapy staff

• Oversee daily therapy operations, including patient care and documentation

• Provide direct therapy services as needed

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and documentation standards

• Hire, train, and evaluate therapy personnel

• Develop and implement innovative therapy programs

• Collaborate with nursing, admissions, and administrative staff to coordinate care

• Manage department budget and resources effectively

Qualifications:

• Licensed PT or OT in California (required)

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or Doctorate preferred

• Skilled nursing facility experience highly preferred

• Prior leadership or management experience strongly desired

• Proficiency with Casamba and PointClickCare

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

• CPR certification (as needed)
